Jogging, hot chocolate and beaches

This post is meant to be for yesterday, but I was so busy that I forgot! So, I got up early yesterday to go jogging with my mum’s friend Alwena. We went up to the National Trust Place in Llanerchaeron (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-llanerchaeron/) and then back down to the car. We took 40 minutes and I got a stitch half way through. Why do we get stitches? I really enjoyed it though. My incentive was a hot chocolate up in a hotel called “The Harbour Master Hotel”(http://www.harbour-master.com/) You got little marshmallows with it, it was lush!!!! This was in Aberaeron (http://www.aberaeron.info/) Then got back home, had a shower and went out to some beaches. Cwmtydu (http://www.new-quay.com/cwmtydu.htm) beach was very cold. But we had a little bit of a walk and then went back into the car. We then went to Llangrannog beach. It was a better, warmer beach. As we could play with the football as Cwmtydu was all stony. We took lots of pictures and then went to the cafe to have an ice-cream. I had strawberry cheesecake, Max had mint choc chip, Mum had peach and wild cherry and Alwena had Banoffee. Then walking back to the car, Max in a bit of a huff because I didn’t want to play anymore football! Had spag bol for dinner and fell asleep watching the Simpson’s movie.

Left home at 7.20am this morning to go to Wales. Me and Max were so excited! It was very cold this morning and I was so cosy in bed, so I didn’t want to get up. But I had to. Attempted to say bye to my older brother but he was too tired to answer. Wasn’t the best of journeys. Max said he didn’t feel too well. :S You can guess what happened though. Arrived in Wales temperatures at 16 degrees. Global Warming effects? Is it not supposed to be snowing in February?! Well we went down to New Quay beach. Max is obsessed with the pound lands in Wales. So my mum gave him £5 and my uncle gave him £2 for not throwing up in the car! So he sort of went mad in the shop. He ended up with; a glowing eyeball, a vampire keyring, a welsh football and a monster. He is thinking ahead for Halloween I think! Well we went down to the beach and played a game of football. Thanks to the Vegan Family ( http://byothermeans.co.uk/ ) we made sand angels. As we saw them making snow angels, but as we didn’t have any snow we made sand angels! Then we played a game of boules. ( Not sure how to spell it! ) We had lovely day. It felt like Summer! Me and Max ran on ahead thought to empty our socks and shoes. As we had brought the whole beach up with us. We all went into the shop, and Max saw a lovely monkey. But he did not have enough pennies. So Mum challenged him to do jobs around the house to earn some money. As he had spent all his money on things in the £1 shop! Got home and sorted out my computer.

Reports, friends and options

Got my report last night. My mum was really proud of it. The first thing I said once I had looked at it was “I think I have the wrong report” It was such an improvement. I was pleased with myself, just got to improve my revision skills. So all is good there.

Now to the friends. Well it’s quite silly really. I have this friend who has been brought up in a strict Christian family. She is not allowed to wear make-up. But she goes behind her parent’s backs and asks around her friends when she wants to meet up with other people (which her parents do not know about either) So she has been asking me for my foundation. I felt as if she was using me. So I said that it had been taken off me by my mum (which it hadn’t) She used to have a ‘best friend’ but they fell out over something or other. But since they fell out my friend always wanted to get back with her ‘best friend’. We had an international day on wednesday and we had to get into teams for a quiz. And you can guess who she went off with. Her old ‘best friend’. I didn’t mind this, but what really hurt was that she didn’t even ask me if I wanted to be in her group. I mean, do you think that she is a true friend? So I am in a bit of a muddle. For the whole of today she has just been ignoring me, so I have given up. I won’t even know them when I am older.

Got my options blocks yesterday for GCSE’s. I want to be a doctor when I am older. So I am taking separate Sciences. I am also taking Art, English Literature and Religious Studies.

Pancakes!

School today. Not much to say about that really. Can’t wait until Friday, we are breaking up!!! Hoping to go to Wales during the holidays to visit some friends and family. Should be exciting. The holidays always seem to fly by so quickly. Should just be mum, Max and me going down. We are planning on taking watercolours, pastels and cameras. Being very artistic this half term.

Got home from school and had a bath, one in ages. Lavished in Lush. As our cold tap is broken! Then we made pancakes! I am really into cooking recently. As we don’t do Food Technology at school I asked mum if she could help em out. So far I have made:

Banana and poppy seed muffins
Chocolate muffins
Pizza (thank you veganfamily!)
Leek and potato soup
Lentil soup
Pancakes
Poached egg on toast

So I still want to continue cooking as I really enjoy it. Currently trying desperately to finish Jane Eyre for English. It was an optional choice as whether you wanted to read it and I chose to. Only a couple of us are though.
